    “Love is love,” declared Barack Obama, in the aftermath of the supreme court’s decision on gay marriage Friday June 26th, 2015.

    The president warmly embraced the court’s 5-4 decision in Obergefell v Hodges as a step towards making “our union a little more perfect”. He described the ruling as “a victory for America.”

Effective today through July 26, 2015, Swift will be offering 10-day passport expediting service to all same sex couples pursuing a name change on their passport at half price ($50 service fee/$170 government fee).   We hope that we can somehow help add to your victory by helping you with your name change. If you would like to change your name, but are in no hurry, make sure to visit the State Department website for forms and information.

    Here is a sneak peak into the process if you are wondering what is entailed. These instructions are for people who currently have a US passport that was issued when they were 16 or older, that is either valid, or expired less than 5 years ago.

    • DS-82 Application Form
    • Your current passport
    • Your original marriage certificate (you will get this back)
    • A copy of your state driver’s license or state ID reflecting your new name
    • New passport photo, see formatting procedures on our passport photo page
