- If you have a “Cancelled” stamp in your Indian passport, it does not mean that you no longer have Indian Citizenship or have renounced it. In order to renounce your citizenship, the stamp has to say “Cancelled due to acquiring foreign nationality”.
- In order to prove that you are of Indian origin, you must produce appropriate documents issued by the Government of India.
- If you’re a non U.S. applicant, you need to provide a permanent address from your country of origin or your application will not be processed.
