Antigua and Barbuda is an island sovereign state that lies between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The two islands – Antigua and Barbuda – as well as some smaller islands make up the region. Total population is about 95,900 with the majority (97%) being residents on Antigua. St. John’s on Antigua is the capital as well as the largest port. Codrington is the largest town on Barbuda. Antigua was colonized by Britain in 1632, while Barbuda was colonized in 1678.
