Bahrain Embassy Information
Bahrain is also referred to as the Kingdom of Bahrain and exists as a sovereign state in the Persian Gulf. The census that occurred in 2010 reported that the population surpassed 1.2 million people, including half of whom are non-nationals. The country is an island nation comprised of a small archipelago that sits between the Qatar peninsula and the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia. Bahrain spans 300 square miles, making it the third-smallest nation in Asia. Only the Maldives and Singapore are smaller. The capital of Bahrain is Manama, which is also the country’s largest city.
