Barbados is located in the Lesser Antilles of the West Indies, also known as the Caribbean region of North America. It’s a relatively small island country, measuring 21 miles in length and 14 miles in width, making it 167 square miles in area. Barbados exists in the western region of the North Atlantic and is located near the surrounding islands of the Windwards, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent, Martinique, the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago. The capital of Barbados is Bridgetown, which is also its largest city.
