Depending on where you live, you will need to send Swift either your physical passport or a notarized scan of your passport.
Please send your physical passport if you live in one of the following jurisdictions: Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Alaska, or Hawaii.
Please send a notarized true to size color copy of your passport if you live in one of the following jurisdictions: Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, or Seattle.
Please note that the notary must be commissioned within your jurisdiction. For example, if you are applying through the New York jurisdiction, the notarization cannot be completed by a notary in California or Georgia. The notary must be registered in a state that falls within the applicable jurisdiction. The color copy should show the page of your passport containing your photo, as well as the page above that which bears your signature. The entire perimeter of both pages must be visable.
Before applying, please make sure that your passport is valid 6 months beyond your stay in Korea. You must have at least 2 blank facing visa pages without stamps. The last 2 pages of your passport are not counted as visa pages. Please make sure your passport is signed!
