No visa is required for Ecuador for stays up to 90 days per calendar year. You must have a passport valid 6 months past your intended return date, and have at least 1 blank visa page. Ecuadorian immigration officials also sometimes request evidence of return or onward travel, such as an airline ticket. If you plan to stay in Ecuador for more than 90 days, you should apply for a visa in advance, please fill out the Research Request Form, to get started. Please reference the US State Department website and the The Ecuador Consulate website for recent travel requirement changes and more detailed information.
Non US Passport Holder Travel Requirements- Visa Required
If you have a passport from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, China, or Somolia, you will need a travel visa. China citizens living in the U.S. must be green card holders in order to acquire a visa waiver prior to their trip to Ecuador; otherwise, a visa must be obtained at the corresponding consulate. If you are a citizen of one of these countries, please fill out the Research Request Form, and a Swift representative will contact you within 24-48 hours with instructions on how to proceed obtaining your visa.
Non US Passport Holders that MAY require a visa
Your nationality, purpose of visit, length of visit, and number of desired entries effect whether or not you need a visa to this country. Swift does not store all possible combinations of passport and visa requirements, but we are happy to research whether or not you need a visa and what the requirements are if you do need a visa. We do this by visiting a consulate website, going to the actual consulate, or calling the consulate for more information. If you would like us to research visa requirements for you, please fill out the Research Request Form, and a Swift representative will contact you within 24-48 hours with an answer to your inquiry. If at all possible, we will get back to you in the same day. Research requests are $15/request.
