Saint Pierre and Miquelon is a self-governing territorial overseas collectivity of France. It is the only remnant of the former colonial empire of New France that remains under French control.
France is a Schengen nation which means that US citizens may enter France for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa. Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your intended length of stay in the Schenghen nation, Swift reccomends 6 months. You will need at least 2 blank visa pages, and may be asked to prove you have sufficient funds and a return airline ticket. For recent travel requirement changes and more detailed information, please refer to the State Department website.
Check Swift's Schengen visa information page to see if you require a Schenghen visa. Swift does not assist with Schengen visas because you will be required to appear in person at a foreign consulate to obtain your Schengen visa. If you do not require a Schengen visa but are not a US citizen, you can complete a research request to see if you do require a visa, and a Swift rep will contact you in 24-48 hours with an answer to you inquiry.
