A travel visa is a document that a foreign government issues to a person that allows that person to enter their country
Many travelers make the mistake of thinking that if they have a valid US passport, they can go anywhere. Unfortunately, for a lot of countries you’d like to visit, it’s not that easy. Many countries require you to have a travel visa in addition to your passport in order to visit.
A travel visa is a document that a foreign government issues to a person that allows that person to enter their country. You cannot get a visa to visit China from the US government – you have to get one from the Chinese Government directly. Travel visas give you the power to visit a country on vacation, usually for no more than 90 days.
Some countries that require travel visas include China, India, Russia, Belarus, Vietnam, Brazil, Azerbaijan, Australia, and Iran. In most cases, you can receive a travel visa for one of these countries before your trip by visiting the appropriate foreign consulate in the United States. For example, if you want to visit Brazil, you can go to the closest Brazilian Consulate in the US to fill out an application for a visa. Some countries on the list, like Australia, let you obtain your visa by filling out a simple online form and paying a fee of $20.
When Should I Get My Travel Visa?
Due to the fact that each country has such different requirements regarding travel visas, you should contact the team at Swift Passport Services as soon as you schedule a trip to a country that requires a visa. Applying for visas yourself can take anywhere from a few days to several months. Instead of having to go through the confusing process on your own, our team will be able to help you figure out how exactly to get your visa and how long it will
take to receive.
For countries like China, Brazil, India, and Russia, we offer expedited visa services that should help you obtain your visa much faster than if you apply yourself. If you’re trying to schedule a trip in the next few months, we highly recommend using our services to help ensure that you have all your travel documents ready in time. If you try to visit one of these countries without a visa, you might not be allowed to board your plane, or worse, you might be sent back to America as soon as you arrive.
